In 2018, in Place Cantrel de Mouy (Oise) part of a cemetery dating from the mid-7th century to the mid-12th century was discovered. 76 primary graves and many secondary deposits were found on the south side of a plateau and on the bank of an old channel. This funeral complex contained 278 minimum number of individuals. The individuals were placed in pits, some of which were anthropomorphic, or in limestone sarcophagi. Very few of them were accompanied by artefacts. Many stone elements were observed including 28 vats, 2 steles and 6 funeral cushions. Macroscopic and microscopic analyses were performed on many stone samples. This article presents a sample of stone used in funerary contexts on this cemetery of the Early Middle Ages and suggests the origins and methods of extraction of the different stones.
