Since 2009, the Department of Archeology of the Pas-de-Calais has carried out 15 archaeological operations within Thérouanne. Except one planned excavation, all these archaeological interventions correspond to preventive diagnoses. In total, 48 024 m² were the concerned. New elements of reflection are emerging thanks to recent discoveries and for some original; data both on the roman city as medieval and modern; and at the same time on a purely topographic level but also for a stratigraphic approach of the city through the centuries. Finally subjected to public obloquy, this small village of the Morinie is revealed each time a little more thanks to archeology: in Thérouanne, an urban archeology in the heart of a village.
